Spoke Too Soon

I think I spoke too soon when I said we hadn't had any typhoons...we now are having 40mph winds. But it's only a tropical depression -it's not even considered a storm yet and is moving away from the island. But you would think it's a full force typhoon heading right for us by the way some people are acting on this base. They cancelled all the after school activities - even William's band concert.

Are you kidding me?

I just had to laugh as I looked out my kitchen window at my neighbor's house - they had their storm shutters closed.

And what was I doing?

Allowing my kids to play in the rain and the wind.

And they had the best time - laughing the whole time.
