Thoughts of Chrismas

Christmas was nice. Christmas Eve we went to the Candle-light Service in the evening, then we toured a bit to see Christmas lights. This little tour is a tradition....we do it mainly to irritate the kids...they are ready to be home so we can open presents....we like to prolong it as long as possible! We did make it home to open presents before it was too late.

The kids seemed to enjoy their gifts....clothes, robes, games,books.... I got a nice Guam pendant, vases, a dress....We woke up early Christmas morning for stockings and the kids' "big present": Ben received a new bike, Melissa two DS games, and William the Wii Music along with a real ukulele.

After we played with all our toys a bit and attended the beach-side service and Benjamin's baptism, we went to the USO for lunch. They did a great job! Guam's USO is one of the best - very large, great food...steady volunteers...great location downtown. Most of the food on holidays are donated by the local hotels - very nice.

Then we came home and Drew and I took a very long nap.

A great Christmas Day! Happy Birthday Jesus!
