The Teenage Years Have Begun

Last Sunday was William's birthday - he's 13th birthday. The teenage years have begin in our house....hopefully, he'll live through them. Yes, already there was some doubt....he lost his school thumb-drive with lots of work on it...but...I let him live on.
With him being sick for so long before his birthday, we decided to post-phone his party until tomorrow. A big plus to that plan is that Drew will be in town and can help me corral everyone. Another plus is that another friend ended up having a party last Sunday so that would have been a problem. It's a good thing we decided to wait. William is especially excited since he this is one of those special years and he gets a party with his friends. Of course, there's not much of a choice here on Guam...so...it's a bowling party. Maybe not very imagitive, but I know he'll have a great time with his friends. (We probably would have gone with a swimming party, but the pool here on base is closed for renovations and I didn't want to ask anyone to drive down the island.)
While we did not have a party last week, I did let William open his cards he revieced in the mail. One of the cutest card is pictured above - it has a picture of a pea pod full of eye balls -an "eye-pod". So cute!!! (Thanks, Dan and Cindy!!)
A friend of mine is doing the cake - I'm excited to see what she had come up with.
